I worked for several months with Kenney on a voxel game prototype. We had a procedural terrain with landmarks, an editor for voxel models and a game where you could destroy and create blocks in a X-Y wrapping toroidal universe.
We eventually decided the game had a few core pillars that were good but not distinct enough from other voxel games. Our core pillars weren't specific to a voxel game, just creation so we scratched the prototype and moved on. Another prototype was made and more may come in the future. For now, Farlands finds its home in the game graveyard.
